Has Humanity Created Their Own
Monster?

I received the following question from a young man seeking to make a difference in our world. His question touched me, perhaps because I have had many of these same questions over the years.

Hossca, who, or what is the source of the elite? Who are these puppeteers? In what ways am I contributing to them still existing in my reality, if I am the creator of my reality? Coming to know how we created the elite, to begin with, gives us an understanding of how to transcend another way of life that doesn’t include their agenda? I hear this all the time, “The Elite” is doing this, “The Elite” is doing that! Has humanity created its monster? Or is this the illusion of life portrayed as a monster within us being reflected? Why do we give so much focus on ones that have forgotten how to love? Do we not feed their fire by continuously talking about them, by providing our attention and energy to the idea that they even exist? What are we not looking at? How can we shift this into a movement forward past the elite and onto something new? Are the elite not our brother-sister souls? Did we agree upon this plot before birth as a way to collectively heal? Is this a collective contract we are all working out, or to each an individual journey? What is the source of this issue? Is it not time we got to the bottom of it? My heart calls out to me, enough! Enough of this! I see, feel, and long for a world in balance, a world of love. I am not consciously remembering it fully but know in my inner being that it exists.

What is the source of the elite? We are. Who are these puppeteers? There can only be a puppeteer if we are willing to be their puppets.

To more fully explain my answers to the above, it is essential to understand where the elite originated? How did we, as a world society, allow this?

Consider the elite energy as a great salesperson who can sell water to a drowning man. They tell you what you need, and then they provide the product or service to fulfill it. We have been programmed to believe we need a savior from our self.

Only a puppet sees the puppeteer as their master. Are we puppets? Indeed, many are, but not all. A puppet is one who continues to look for approval, as a small child may look for permission from their mother or father. The difference is, some grow out of this approval syndrome, and some do not.

We are all creators of our reality, but many do not understand what reality is or how we created it. I will use an analogy of baking a cake. Let’s look at the old-fashioned triple-layer dark chocolate cake called devil’s food. Interesting name. Now you are going to create a reality called a chocolate cake. You put all the devil’s food ingredients into a bowl and mix very well, pour it into a baking pan, and put it into the oven to bake. If you followed all the directions, it would come out just like the picture on Pillsbury Devil’s Food Cake Mix box. If you were to have 100 people in a large kitchen making the same cake, you would expect the same results. All the cakes would look beautiful, and they all would all taste the same. Now, what if you had 10 of those people in the kitchen that changed the recipe, say they did not put Sugar, Enriched Bleached Wheat Flour, GMO Soybean Oil, Propylene Glycol Mono, Xanthan Gum, Maltodextrin, and of course, Artificial Flavors in their cake. Let’s say they made their cake only using natural ingredients. Now, you have all 100 cakes sitting on a very long table, but ten are natural. The cakes are now going to be judged by a panel of judges who are perceived as smart and follow all the rules and are praised by Old Age society and are addicted to sugar. Watch them bite into a piece of that natural cake with no sugar. What would be their reaction? They would probably spit it out. You would be called a loser, a mediocre cook, told to get out of the kitchen. Ever watch cooking shows?

We can ask ourselves about our reality, what is in it, and our reality’s composition. It is correct we create our reality, but what ingredients do we put in it? Humanity has created its monster, called the elite. Do we put ingredients of this monster into our reality? If so, the elite becomes part of our everyday experience. Back to the analogy of the cake, what ingredients do we put into our reality? When you have a person creating their reality, they are often judged for not having a lot of sugar (world conscious beliefs, sweet to the taste, but deadly to the brain). How many still live by the old law, the Old Age values established to be appeasing to the world mind? The elite, the core of mass consciousness, forcefully influences the old. How many stand up and create their special recipe and are judged by the old consciousness? How many speak up about the old religions made into New Age religions, even using Old Age icons and making them New Age? How many young men and women of the Twenty-First Century are being judged for creating their recipe, their reality because they refuse to accept the Old Age or sometimes New Age dogma?

Is this a collective contract we are all working out?

You ask, are the elite, not our brother-sister souls? Yes, they are. You could also ask, is the psychopath perhaps living next door or seeking to become your friend, a brother-sister soul? Yes, they are. Joe Biden, Donald Trump, Vladimir Putin, and Xi Jinping are brother-sister souls. These people are souls who carry a very Old Age world consciousness, which influences millions of people in our 3D reality. But they are souls. If you could meet their higher soul without their human consciousness, it would undoubtedly be a very different experience.

Both Jonah and science say we live in an illusion. Could it be the reality created by the mind of Old Age belief is the illusion? Perhaps that reality is laced with ingredients not fit for human consumption.

Not only do we create our reality, but our ancestors also create our reality from seven generations prior. We choose our ancestors, but once chosen, they are part of our DNA, consciousness, and reality. We do have the power to change our reality, our DNA. What reality shall we choose?

Have you ever had a powerful dream, perhaps a nightmare, and in this dream, keep trying to wake up, but do not? Probably many are asleep dreaming, but they believe it is not a dream, but rather reality. Yet many souls have visions of beautiful land, a peaceful, loving world in perfect balance.

Where is this place?

How do you get there?

It is just on the other side of the veil, as Jonah says, “a slide of light away.” Not a place you are going to be raptured to or mystical beings will help you escape. No, this is a place that already exists within you.

Our reality occupies our energy, and our energy occupies our reality. We can say we do not like our reality. We can say our reality controls us; we can even say someone else controls our existence. If one sees reality as a reflection of their thoughts, dreams, desires, yes, even their meditations, they begin to realize they have the power to change their reality.

Be prepared when you do change your reality, as it will make others uncomfortable. When others become uncomfortable, they tend to attack, usually using character attacks and or whispering campaigns.

Picture yourself on a boat with others amid a massive storm, and you start to change your reality to your heart reality. It rocks the boat. All the others on the boat shouting stop it. You are rocking the boat. You are putting us all in danger. You could kill somebody, sit down, and be a good boy or girl. But you continue to rock the boat with your heart reality as others become angrier, the character attacks begin, the anger increases, perhaps even to the point of throwing you off the boat.

We are all in the same storm, but not the same boat. What boat did you choose to ride out the storm? Do you have the ability to change boats? Do you want to change boats?

When one changes to their heart reality, does that mean the reality of others cease to exist? No, you could experience it by being in a movie theater watching a movie drama; you could watch the movie versus being in the movie. If one is in the movie, they follow the script. If they are watching the movie, they see a light beam shining through a lens projecting onto a large screen, yet they have choices. They can choose to see how others are creating and reacting to their reality, but want not to be a part of it. They can get up and leave the theater or watch the theatrics of the audience.

A teacher pushes others to look at their reality, but at the same time, knowing this makes people uncomfortable. The teacher becomes susceptible and aware of being attacked by the elite’s energy and speakers, from both Old Age and some people claiming New Age. Many teachers from our history have bitten the dust by angry, violent, sleeping mobs.

Why?

Because this energy called the elite and speakers for the elite, fear change to a loving, compassionate reality. They fear they will lose their power base if too many choose to change and claim self-empowerment. Yes, the elite wants to change, but change based on their approval, not yours. It is well known the fastest way to create change in our world is through fear. When one becomes accustomed to fear, they create something new to fear. This pandemic was the perfect ploy to establish a global collective fear. When is the last time you saw one country after another in a matter of days shut down society? Never in our recorded history. Why? Is it time to establish total and complete control with a one-world government, a one-world currency, and a one-world religion (AI)? Jonah has spoken of these events for almost 40 years. Now, the storm is here; what boat are you choosing?

We do live in an illusion, an illusion of the mind. When this is fully understood, the soul memory of that beautiful land, that world of peace and love, is only a slide of light away.

Has society created its monster? When we can look in the mirror and see that we are the monster, we can only create change.

When we can develop our visionary wings and fly above the lower realms of consciousness, we are eternally free.

Liar Liar Pants on Fire

by

Hossca Harrison

2016

Liar liar pants on fire, how many of us can remember this schoolyard rhyme from school days past? Even today, some still use this rhyme. William Blake wrote it in a poem in 1810 titled “The Liar.” But in old England where William Blake lived, the word pants meant underwear, not what Americans call pants. Ouch, think if this happened every time one lied and your underwear caught on fire. How many liars would be left? But we all know this is simply a children’s rhyme with no consequences. We are all free to lie, cheat, and steal.

From the day of our birth to the day of our death, we are presented with lies. Family, friends, governments, and religions lie to us. We are lied to daily. Each day when our children or grandchildren go to school, they are presented with lies. Lying is taught to be normal and to be expected.

Napoleon once said, “History is a set of lies agreed upon.”

Aristotle stated in “Poetics,” “A fake story is charming, amusing and relaxing. The truth, on the other hand, is upsetting.”

We all know what it is like to be upset, so why not sit back and enjoy the charming, amusing, and relaxing lies?

Dresden James stated, “A truth’s initial commotion is directly proportional to how deeply the lie was believed. It wasn’t the world being round that agitated people, but that the world wasn’t flat. When a well-packaged web of lies has been sold gradually to the masses over generations, the truth will seem utterly preposterous and its speaker a raving lunatic.”

We live in a world where lies are accepted as truth, and the truth is accepted as a lie. How perfect is this consciousness when the intent is to keep humanity enslaved in their ignorance.

Picture this scenario, a group of people is visiting together, and one person is doing most of the talking. Virtually every word this person says is a lie, mixed with a little bit of truth. As this person goes from person to person, he tells each how beautiful and or handsome they are, how incredibly intelligent they are. The people are being lied to, but flattered. You go up to this person and tell them you are a liar. You are deceiving these people. How long would it take for the other people who have been lied to come to the liar’s defense? Perhaps even kicking out the person who called the liar a liar. The liar will then continue their lies, maybe even telling the others this person who called them out is a raving lunatic. Please stay away from this person. He/she will poison your mind.

Why do ones want to believe a lie? Could it be because they lie to themselves? Perhaps it is easier to live with yourself and your self-imposed lies if you believe the lies of others?

The greatest lie of all is the lie you believe about yourself.

How many children in our school system are told that you are stupid, fat, or ugly? How many times is this stated before you begin to believe it? How many of these people, now adults, think they’re stupid, fat, or ugly? Have you accepted the lies about yourself? Do you currently accept the lies more easily from others? If you were one of those name-callers, and now you are an adult, do you pass this energy of judgment to your children, grandchildren? Do you walk around judging in your mind others you consider stupid, fat, or ugly?

Are you a recipient of the great lie, keeping it alive and well to pass on from generation to generation?

I was recently told about a psychic, whom I have never met, teaching others about death. When you die, she teaches you immediately become enlightened, all your pain, sorrow, fears, fits of anger, or whatever else you may carry about life is stripped from you, and you enjoy the bliss of life. Should it not be apparent to anyone who has communicated with tormented souls who have died, this is not true. This lie is a deeply ingrained religious teaching passed on under the guise of Old and New Age. How many suicidal people take this misinformation and end their life, believing what was taught? They question why live in this pain when all I have to do is kill myself and live in paradise. Unfortunately, many hold onto this belief from the past without searching where this indoctrination originated. The creation of karma is never excused by ignorance.

Some of the most significant lies ever told.

Human civilization has only existed for 6,000 years?

Humanoids have only existed for 200,000 years?

There is no elite class that controls the world?

Christopher Columbus discovered the New World?

Radical Muslims perpetrated the attacks on 9/11?

WW I and II were about preserving freedom for humanity?

UFO’s are a hoax?

Adolf Hitler and the German government acted alone in exterminating 24 plus million Jews, Gypsies, gays, selected Christians, Poles, Slavs, communists, socialists, and those with physical and or mental disabilities?

The Bible is the definitive written word of God?

The list could go on and on, but in my opinion, one of the most significant lies ever told and believed is the teaching of escapism. It encourages people to put their power into someone or something to save them and make them happy. How does this interfere with one taking full responsibility for their life and their creation? When you look to another to save you, your joy becomes dependent on the choices of another. You have given away your power, which inhibits you from creating the joyful life you deserve. How many people are willing to give up their free will choice, their joy, for security? Does 9/11 ring a bell? Escaping into the illusion of security is not wise.

Socrates once said, “The unexamined life is not worth living.”

The path to profound joy is to examine your life to harmonize your life, but most importantly, the way to profound joy is taking complete responsibility for your power to create the life you deserve. This means taking responsibility for your happiness, never give another responsibility for your life. Never look for profound joy outside of yourself. If you do, you become dependent on another for the quality of life you seek. This path will only be temporary and end in pain.

Stop looking for a savior and create the life you were

meant to live now.

Not only do some seek out a savior, but they also seek out the Old Age counterpart, someone to be a punisher, a punisher either for themself or others. How often does one become angry with another, wanting that person to be punished? They may not want to do the punishing themself, but rather seek out one who will punish the other for them. This is undoubtedly a sign of one with self-punishment issues.

Stop lying to yourself, and you will come to see the lies of others.

We live in a world where many humans have devolved into animalist predators. In nature, predators are needed; they keep a balance in nature. But a human who is a predator has taken on the animalist nature, thus creating cross-contamination. A human predator will stock their prey; they will search out an easy target to satisfy their lust, greed, and desire to control. Be cautious of humans who have become predators. A predator has mastered deception. They can give the illusion of being very concerned for your welfare, but at the same time plotting their course of action. These predators can come in many forms; they can disguise themselves as men or women of God, healers, psychics, business people, bankers, politicians, and some even pretending to be a victim. These predators have one thing in common, they want what you have, and usually, the common denominator is money and or sex. If you lie to yourself, you are more susceptible to believing the lies of predators. As a result, you will most likely give them what they want, your power. Be conscious of any person who wants your money and trust they have not earned. That is usually the sign of a human predator.

If you are a predator and want to heal, the first energy level to transform is envy and jealousy. Envy and jealousy are some of the most toxic energies in this plane of existence and have caused the demise of many beautiful relationships.

The primary key to happiness is to harmonize yourself with your soul by seeing yourself as a beautiful, intelligent, and loving being of which you indeed are. Clear out the old web of lies that keeps one bonded to old consciousness, old beliefs. In doing this, no one can deceive you with their lies. Peace is never out there; salvation is never out there. It can only be experienced in one place, your own heart.

Not Meant To Be

by

Hossca Harrison

2016

The other day, I received an email about someone trying to subscribe to the Jonah Life Institute International Newsletter. They had difficulty copying the characters from the box on the subscription page to subscribe. This box is called CAPTCHA. CAPTCHA is a program that protects websites against “bots” by generating and grading tests that humans can pass, but current computer programs cannot. If not for this, other computers could attempt to crash our site with spam. Most, if not all, legitimate sites use CAPTCHA to be placed on a mailing list. The person could not copy the characters, so they gave up, stating “not meant to be.” The letter arrived at the perfect time, as I was writing my next blog, “Not Meant To Be.”

Over the years, I have heard people say, “not meant to be.” Just what does that mean? What does it mean to you?

Some time ago, I was counseling a young man of eighteen named Allen. He had a deep fear of graduating from high school and then attending college. He was very popular in his school, had many friends who looked up to him, but his fear would not allow him to move forward. What if I fail? What if I do not make new friends? He had a list of fears longer than his mother’s shopping list.

He said to me, “Maybe it is just not meant to be,” after describing his list of fears.

I asked Allen, “What does that mean to you?”

Allen sat back, thought for a moment, and said, “Maybe I have all these fears because the universe does not want me to go to college. Maybe this is how the universe is talking to me, giving me all these fears.”

I told Allen, “I think you have been fed a long line of BS. I think you accepted this line of BS because it satisfies your fears.”

His mouth fell open as he began to stammer his words describing how his mother always told him the universe provides us with difficulties to prevent us from going in a particular direction. “Sometimes, some things are just not meant to be,” he continued.

“Allen, what does the word “universe” mean to you? The universe is a vast place, so how are you using that word?” I asked.

He thought for a few minutes and said, “I don’t know, maybe God, maybe angels, I guess whoever controls the “universe.”

“So, do you believe that whoever controls the universe uses fear to stop you from achieving something you desire? Does God use fear; do angels use fear to control the outcome?”

“I don’t know,” Allen replied.

“Allen, what if God, angels, guides, or any number of beings filled with love and compassion support you in attending college? What if they had nothing to do with your fear?”

I asked Allen, “Have you ever searched the proper usage of fear?”

“Usage of fear?” he replied.

“Yes, there are two types of fear, rational fear, and irrational fear. Another way to look at it is by distinguishing reality from fantasy. Let’s designate a reasonable fear as reality and irrational fear as fantasy.

What if you were walking out in nature, say out in the rocks of a desert? All of a sudden, you hear the sound of a rattlesnake, not one but several rattlesnakes surrounding you. You would feel fear gripping you as you stood there. This could be called a reality fear. Now, what if you were walking across your living room at home and you became gripped with fear that rattlesnakes were surrounding you? Label this a fantasy fear. Both fears can feel very real. How do you tell the difference?

First, let me describe what occurs when you encounter a sudden fear, as with the rattlesnakes. Your brain goes into survival mode. The thalamus decides where to send sensory data. The sensory cortex will interpret this data. The hippocampus will store and revive all conscious memories of sudden past fears. The amygdala will determine any possible threat, but it also stores all of your fear memories. Then the hypothalamus will choose to respond or not respond, usually based on memories. Now all of this occurs in a split second, and your body will react accordingly. Your heart rate and blood pressure will increase, giving you a sudden burst of energy. Your pupils will dilate, changing your vision. Your veins will constrict to send more of your blood to your muscles, and your blood glucose level will increase. Your muscles will tense up from the sudden release of adrenaline. Your immune system will shut down, allowing energy to flow to the body’s parts needed to survive the danger. This, I will call reality fear.

Now, what happens if you are in your living room and you become gripped with fear of being surrounded by rattlesnakes? The same thing occurs, including your immune system shutting down. Remember, you will have recorded the past fear in your brain. If it is not adequately processed, it keeps replaying over and over. The result is a worn out, confused immune system. Your immune system begins attacking healthy cells in your body. We now call it an autoimmune disease.

What if your fear of going to college came from your genes, your past relatives? Perhaps the coding of fear in your genes was appropriate a hundred or more years ago, but it is no longer applicable. What if you give in to the fear and end up creating an autoimmune disease? What if your brain is shutting down the immune system to survive an imminent threat, which your brain believes is college?

You would know there are no rattlesnakes in your living room, that is a fantasy fear, but the fear has the same response as a reality fear. The difference is the fantasy fear continues to replay itself over and over. You begin to believe it is real.

What if what you call the universe is your ancestors’ choices and is coded in your genes? What if you could choose to confront these fears, go to college, and best of all, stop the progression of this fear to your future children?”

Allen thought for a few minutes and then asked, “Are you saying my fears are not coming from the universe?”

“In a way, yes. I am telling you, you have the power to change. You have the power to make your life a joyful disease-free life. You have the power to not pass on these fears to your future children.”

“You can look at it this way. You are the universe.”

MILLENNIALS

by

Hossca Harrison

2016

This last week I received a question from a young man about money, pain, and suffering. After answering his letter, I felt to expand on that answer in this blog.

“I’ve heard many people talk about this experience is a “school” of life and how pain and suffering is the teacher, is the 3rd dimension designed as a school for souls to learn and grow through pain and suffering? Another question I have is in regards to money. It seems most people my age are without money and just trying to get by in whatever way they can?”

Money, the root of all evil, many religious men have taught. Suffer, and you shall be closer to the Lord, again many religious men have taught. Then comes along the New Age movement piercing the soul with an arrow of light.

Money is an exchange of energy. Many men have died for this energy; many men seek to control this energy keeping the ordinary people in despair. I find this no different than some New Age teachers that teach life in this dimension is a school for pain and suffering. Yes, they continue to “educate,” or as I say, indoctrinate the mind to believe pain and suffering is a reality one must live to grow. Once you take this belief as your own, you become it. Money is bad because there are people who use it to control? Many have ripped out the arrow of light from their soul, believing some New Age teachers teach the Old Age.

The Christian Bible is filled with messages on suffering; suffering is good, bringing you closer to Jesus. It is not just Christian teachings on suffering; it is also the teachings of all the world’s major religions, including Hinduism, Islam, Judaism, and many other religions.

We can look back through the history of the Old Age religion, and how it used pain and suffering to create fear of not being saved, the fear of not being accepted.

What if this New Age is about resolving, transcending these deep-seated beliefs that pain and suffering are requirements for this school?

How many carry subconscious belief money is the root of all evil? You can tell yourself I do not accept this belief, nor do I live my life to other religious standards. Do you?

What if you were able to research all of your relatives from the last 2000 years? Not just look them up, but see what all of them looked like, what were their beliefs, thoughts, desires, and fears. How many were murderers or murdered. How many of them taught their children to deny life to please others? What if you took all of these beliefs, fears, and religious standards from your family of the last 2000 years and changed its name to subconscious beliefs. We are talking about thousands of people and billions upon billions of beliefs. If this is a stretch for the conscious mind to explore, search for the last seven generations.

One of the primary differences between the Old Age and the New Age, the Old Age taught God is outside of you, and the New Age, God is inside of you. During this transitional stage, is New Age consciousness being lured back into old inherited beliefs, especially when they are in pain?

Indeed, the Old Age beliefs about money being the root of all evil seem to be buried deep in our minds’ crevices. But the Bible does not say money is the root of all evil. What it does say is, the love of money is a root of evil. This teaching from the Old Age teaches certain types of love are evil. You do not have to go far to see this belief in action; look at gay marriage. It is not that gay marriage and money are the same, but the Old Age teachings teach specific types of love are evil. What a beautiful age we could live in if humanity were to let go of all the Old Age religious dogma.

It is easy to fall back into the Old Age’s belief structures, allowing its energy to create a perverse reality of pain and suffering. If you are going to study something to assist in your healing, be cautious of hooks. A hook is something that pulls you back to the old, the old reality of pain and suffering. Hooks can come in many different words, deeds, or teachings. Such hooks are, follow me, I will protect you, ascension (New Age rapture), savior, escape, or end of the world. Some may experience many common belief hooks such as this life is horrible. I want to hurry up and die so I can live in the 4th dimension. I am a star child, where the hell is my space ship. I cannot heal myself, so I must be a failure, or I will not seek medical treatment because that means I failed. These are all Old Age beliefs. Be cautious of those telling you what to do, and if you do it, they will offer you protection and salvation from the ills of the world.

Many young people do seem to have issues with money. Ray posted the following statement I agree with it on dreamspacecommunity.com.

“Millennials are a generation that has grown up in quite an interesting time. As adolescents, they learned to live with technology, seeing the Internet and other technological advances shape their world. They have seen the highs and lows of the market, living through the Great Recession and coping with one of the most difficult job markets in American history. Everything around them is changing, from the environment to worldwide personalities. Truly, millennials have seen it all, and it has shaped their perception of the world. Unlike past generations, they are more environmentally mindful, technologically savvy, and socially connected. No matter how we look at it, they truly are one of the most advanced and unique generations thus far.”

There are generations after the millennials, but these younger generations are move focused on technology. Millennials are the ones who are creating change, but this change if often rebuffed by older generations.

What the media is calling millennials is what Jonah calls “Children of the 21st Century”. It is true the parents of the generation called millennials truly let them down. Many of these children who are now adults had difficulty bonding with their parents. Many parents made life issues more important than their children. I have worked with many of these children and young adults, many of them describing their pain of not being in a close, loving emotional relationship with their parents. Is the lack of bonding with some of these young adults why many of them have money issues? Perhaps this is so, but not with all. Some of these young adults have incredible artistic abilities but lack the knowledge of how to promote their ability. Perhaps some do not know just how influential their art is. Some are magnificent writers or speakers but lack the awareness of what to do.

Some will state many millennials are merely lazy. While part of that statement is correct, some of these people are perhaps the laziest in a millennium or two. Although you certainly cannot lump them all together, some of these young adults are incredible, even magnificent teachers. Some of these are not from this earth and have much difficulty in relating to earth consciousness. These young people need assistance. They are not lazy; they are probably the most energetic people on the planet. It is time to support them, lift them, and let them loose on an emotionally passive dying world.

These young adults are the New Age; they are the New Age teachers teaching life does not need to be pain and suffering. It is time to move on from the Old Age. The New Age is here, be here, and be now.

Four Jonah messages that support a more in-depth understanding of this subject are available on CD or download at www.Jonahlifestore.com, “Children of the 21st Century”, “Children of the 21st Century Continues”, “Now,” and “The Money Game.”

AMERICA

by

Hossca Harrison

2015

With all this talk about Syrian refugees coming to America, I watch and listen to the absurd talking points of men and women who want to become the next president of the United States.

I hear people asking where is the compassion for the homeless in America? How can we give compassion to the Syrian refugees if we can’t provide empathy to the American homeless?

Homelessness in America, where is the compassion? I have the same question. Below is a quote from the National Student Campaign Against Hunger and Homelessness.

“People become homeless for a variety of reasons. Homelessness is primarily an economic problem and is also affected by many social and political factors. The number of people experiencing homelessness exploded in the 1980s (Regan Administration) as federal funds were withdrawn from low-income housing and social assistance programs for low-income families and the mentally ill. Current federal spending on housing assistance programs targeted at low-income populations is less than 50% of 1976 spending levels.”

What did Ronald Reagan say about this? “What we have found in this country, and maybe we’re more aware of it now, is one problem that we’ve had, even in the best of times, and that is the people who are sleeping on the grates, the homeless, you might say, by choice.”

In my research on this subject, I find the politicians who continue to refuse to fund the homeless are the same politicians who are shouting the loudest against the Syrian refugees and the most boisterous for promoting war. Where is the compassion? Ask these same politicians, but you will find they know it not.

Would these same politicians show compassion to refugees who are of Northern European descent? What if boatloads of refugees say from Belarus, often called the whitest country in Europe, sought a new home in America? Would these politicians be screaming about these people, or would they show compassion? If they show mercy, then it is not compassion. It is racism.

Citylimits.org quotes. “One can also look at race as a factor in homelessness. The statistics are stark: Black persons in families make up 12.1 percent of the U.S. family population but represented 38.8 percent of sheltered persons in families in 2010.”

That was five years ago. This issue has only increased. Indeed, where is the compassion?

Study the money trail for war. Study how the poor in the U.S. were denied food stamps, how children went hungry, how homelessness increased to pay for this war killing a half million people. Indeed, where is the compassion?

Follow these politicians who can be found sniffing money trails. Follow how they deny the elderly through Social Security and Medicare. Follow these politicians who refuse assistance to the mentally ill. Follow these politicians who deny food stamps to our veterans. Follow these politicians who deny equal rights to African Americans. Follow these politicians who deny equal rights to LGBT. Yes, follow them, so you know who they are and how they vote. I would ask the American people to vote against war and for compassion.

One can look at George Bush and all the congressmen and senators from both parties, who voted to go to war with Iraq, killing 500,000 people. Indeed, where is the compassion?

According to Jonah, the death count is closer to two million when you count all the men, women, and children dying of cancer caused by the remains of toxic radiation bullets that litter Iraq. This includes Americans. Veterans of these wars continue to live in mental and emotional pain. Yet these veterans are not the guilty ones. It is the American politicians, some of which made millions of dollars on these wars. Indeed, where is the compassion, versus where is the corruption?

Many people with compassion are assisting the homeless with housing, clothing, and food, despite some local governments interfering with this assistance. Yes, some local governments have made it illegal to assist the homeless. Indeed, where is the compassion? Where is the heart, versus where is the corruption?

This is almost 2016. Must we still live in the Old Age of racism? Must we always see men, women, and children as colored statistics, or can we move into the New Age and see there is only one race, the human race?

I wrote the above in 2015, and now it is 2020. It is again voting time in America. Has any American politician been campaigning to cut the military budget to provide housing for the poor, increase Social Security, or Medicare for the elderly? If there are, I would certainly like to know who they are. America spends more on the military-industrial complex than China, Russia, Saudi Arabia, United Kingdom, India, Japan, France, Germany, South Korea, Australia, Brazil, and Italy all combined. Compassion does not do this: greed does. Is it not time we voted for compassion?
